Stupid question but I want to make sureI have paid it correctly. I only see the option to input into the treasury which has $70K but cannot see an option to pay maint on the town hall. Please help.

Also, what is the best way for a newbie to get apprenticeship xp to become a mayor?

Donate to the treasury via City Management Terminal.

Maintinance for all of the city is taken once a week at the weekly update, not daily, not manually. Make sure you have enough money in there every week.

also taxes help some too. you can email all your citizens.. using Citizens

It is done automatically out of the city treasury at the end of each week. All you need to do is make sure you have the funds present when the round goes (i.e. election)

Well personally if you want to become mayor you should have started saving apprentice points when they listed the politician skill tree on the allakhazam site, any apprentice points you can get you should be happy with. Honestly if you want to be a politician do your homework otherwise your city WILL fail. I laughed many ran around on the day player cities and creature mounts came out not even knowing WHERE the trainer was.
