Thread: Townhall at 0,0??
That is always the default waypoint if you do not have something targeted. It took me a while to figure this out.
To get an accurate waypoint, go to the city hall building management terminal, target it, and type '/waypoint'. Agian this is the building management terminal, not the voting booth, and not the city management terminal. I would be curious to see if this could be what is causing some of the drifting. If the developers changed the 'center point' somewhere along the line.
For every building this is what is used to determine if the building is within the city radius, the building management terminal. For the other structures (factories, harvestors, etc) I believe the center of the building is used. It is the same waypoint you would get if you targeted the structure and did a /waypoint.
I am sure the terminal is used because in our city we rotated a building to move the terminal and got it registered in the city.
You do not need to target something to make a waypoint. However, inside buildings it acts oddly. You have to enter the coordinates by hand. Or if targetting something works, target yourself with ctrl-1.
This is unrelated to city drift. The center of the city is in the center of the city hall, which is about halfway between the city management room and the structure management room. At least that is where it is supposed to be.
