Thread: Embassy's for SWG
It would be a nice thing to have, a special dedicated city structure for embassy's. Till then we just need to use our own lots. (maybe someday). I'm really looking to placing an embassy with a sister city on another planet. (ok, I get excited easily)
While it is not supported in the game structure, I would love to see embassy's sprouting up. I have a sister city who we are on good terms with (on another planet), and I'd like to open an embassy. Just a simple house and it would be for moreso roleplaying purposes, but i'd also like to see a tangible benefit to doing so.
Has anybody else considered opening an Embassy for cities you are friendly with? It is a 'home away from home' and would be good. If nothing else, it is a credit sink and good for r/p and advertiwsing your own city as well as good relations with the host city.
Thoughts?
This is another brilliant way to include politicians in other roles. Send a representative politician from your city to another one, let them earn political XP from acting as an ambassador.
Good idea.
Cool idea. Perhaps 2 cities each with an embassy for the other could benefit in some way like the city specializations . So city A has the clone lab spec. and city B has the medical spec: once matching embasies are placed each gains 50% of the benifit of the other cities specialization.
Anothersimilar idea I'd like to see is atrade building to createshared marketplaces between cities. This would take the form of swapped vendors so thatmany citys could sell items in each other without the requirement of many buildings. Onetrade building could host vendors from mutliple other cities that they have embassys with. The politicians could set local tax rates on imported goods to keep the local vendors competitive.

Very cool idea.
wow, You have all taken this much farther than I intended. I originally meant it as just a r/p purpose, but I do appreciate the suggestions of some benefit of having one or multiple ones.
would be nice to have a real embassy structure *wink @ devs*
