Thread: City cap, and placing city halls.
Our architect has finally placed the deed for the hall in my hands. Being of naturally nervous disposition I was wondering when exactly in the placing process it brings up the issue of city cap.
Just before the reset today, I had a quick test run, and the box telling you that the building will be undeedable when placed came up. If that means we're not at the cap I shall be most pleased.
Mainly I just want to make sure that it doesn't let you place, THEN bring up the cap issue. That'd be an insane way to do it, but like I said, naturally nervous disposition.
Alrevolis Vosteo, soon to be mayor! Probably.
1) It tells you the building is not re-deedable
2) It asks you for a city name
3) After you click 'OK' on #2, it then checks the cap, if the cap has been hit, you get a system message telling you that your planet has hit the cap. If your planet has not hit the cap, well, I assume it goes to the structure placement window, but I havent made it that far yet.
All the 'Not-Redeedable' message means is that unlike houses, once you do place, you cannot re-deed it. It can only be destored by click ing 'Destroy Structure' or by not paying maint or by not meeting minimum city population reqs.
If the map doesn't come up to place it like a house or any other structure, then you're at thecap.
I had the map come up, I found green, then tried to place it........but was unable from the cap hit. I missed it by seconds.
After that, the map never came up again, and I get the "planet has reached cap" message. Your deed is safe until the City is placed. If you place it, its not wasted, you're good to go.
