I disagree. Transferring a structure is totally within someones rights.

Please explain what you consider griefing? Any resident can run for mayor, that is not greifing. If the house was transferred to them they did not place it. How is an already placed house interfering with city plans?

I agree that this is not griefing by any means. The /grantzoningrights simply allows the mayor to help plan out the city. Just like a real life city, zoning only controls what can be built where and not who can live in the city.

Once someone gets a house in the city they can transfer it to who ever they want. This has become a problem. Griefers can get ahold of a house inside your city and get politician xp by running for mayor or simply obstruct your city plans.

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

okay, this is how it is. you find someone you want in your city and allow them to build a house. They in turn transfer that deed to the most annoying, worthless, crooked person in the game that is always ripping people off. Now, they are in your city and can run against you in the mayor race.

you as a city plan for each persons vote so you can lvl in the way you want the city to grow. then that person comes in and causes havoc on it. messes everything up. I agree, no one should be able to transfer structures if zoning is enabled. just makes sense

How is it messing up your plans if 1 person owns a house in your city? You lose 100xp. Sounds to me like anyone who would transfer a structure to a person who will run against you as Mayor didn't wanna vote for you anyway. Doesn't sound like griefing, sounds like democracy. Cities are not intended to be private communities where you block out anyone wanting to be mayor. If you are a strong enough mayor, then you will receive all but 1 vote in an election, hardling interfering with any plans you may have.

Actually it is much worse than that but I will not go into details. If you are not careful whom you /grantzoning rights to you can lose your city in one week.

That is whyI often have the person give me their deed, with their input choose where to place it, then transfer it too them. A pain yes, but when working with players you do not know well caution is the best watch word.

Korrak, you are a moron. Don't you have a known thief on your server? Do you want him in your city? Use your head man. The problem is not in loosing 100xp, but having someone that is worthless.

So just /cityban them and they can't vote against you. *shrug*

Besides who would vote for a worthless thief? Oh wait... *looks at RL politicians* I retract my statement as too ironic.
