I'd really love to be mayor of any Player City, don't care if it were an outpost or a metropolis. But it seems that if you don't get to a city first, you've got no chance of winning the election. No-one can be bothered to vote and so i get 100 xp, from one loyal voter, myself, each week. I hoped elections would involve putting signs up in cities saying "Vote Spam Mayor", but only mayors can put up signs, and why would the mayor want to advertise his opposition. At this rate, i will become master politician in 15 years (worked it out myself :smile

So someone please tell me, i don't care where it is, i'll travel across the galaxy, just please tell me where there is a city that will actually vote because of policies.

We are a metropolis on Corbantis. I have had one person run against me so far and they gathered about 6% of the vote. I won't help you get your votes, but I would be more than happy to help you build a house here. I think you need to get to know folks and show why a different mayor would may their life better.

You're welcome to come and run against me too . . . all we ask is that you're a roleplayer and get to know what the town's goals are before asking to move in, because that's what the citizenry will vote upon before you'll get zoning rights. If you were to come to Scylla, about the time you got your character in order would be about the time that the town would start looking for other people to run, to make things interesting. Right now they're all in agreement that they want to see one person get the basic skills down so they can get the things in town that they want first, and that doesn't happen as quickly by splitting votes. But since we're just about there, it would probably time out very well.
