-A city hall is unretrievable once it has been built, or is it unretrievable once you click "Yes" in the warning dialogue box?

-When am I told that I'm too close to another city to place my hall?

-When am I told that I can't place my hall because the cap has been reached?

I know that the city hall simply won't be placed when the city cap is reached. I tried it many times untill the city cap was raised

That's just dandy. So basically I'll have to go through with all the work and planning involved in starting a city without even knowing if the game will let me do so. There's got to be some way to find out if the cap is reached before you're ready to start your city. With the new capping system, that's a huge problem...you can't even just wait for the cap to be raised, you'd theoretically have to keep track of all the cities on your server and wait until one grows to the next level. Which probably means I can just wait until an update. Then again, who says there's room for any cities to grow?

Remember me Ryza - bought all those speeders from you. I tried to place a city on tat near wayfar but wasn't fast enough. It opened up on Christmas Eve for a few hours to let me place a city hall, but I had to log out and when I looged back in later that evening the planet city cap had been reached. I believe Storms End was the last city to make it on Tat.

So, I scouted spots on LOK and Dantooine. I found a spot where there were already 20 some houses and placed a city hall today. I still have to get some more residents before tomorrow or my city hall goes poof. You might want to check out other planets where the city cap is 50. You can still place city halls on LOK and DANTOOINE, because it tried and it would let me place the city hall.

If you ever want to stop by our city is the Star Wars Matrix on Dantooine near the imperial outpost at (-3396, -2644). If you could help us get a few more citizens here by tomorrow morinig, I would be glad to help you get 10 citizens for your player city.

Hi Icetech (Thirtyzero)

This is Ryza. If you would be willing to come to Dantooine at (-3396, -2644) and place a couple of houses there before Sat noon to help us get our city, I would help you place some houses to get your 10 resident for your city. You would only have to keep your houses there for a few weeks to get us going and then you can move them. You would have to take down your house in 1/2 Wayfar so you could declare residency in your houses on Dantooine. If you need houses, I can give them to you free now and for later. Let me know what youw want to do. Tried to pick and name that was different and unique in some way. I don't work for SOE or have any connection whatsoever.

I did a ticket with SOE CS on the city player cap thing. The cap for Tatooine on Bria is 20 and it will not raise from that. There will be no more player cities on Tatoooine. That is why I went looking for other places on other planets to place a city. If you wait too long the player cap will be reached on other cities as well. Better start scouting locations on other planets and start and decide where you want to put a city and try to get people you kow lined up to come with you when you are ready to place the city hall.

You can't really know how many cities there are on a planet without scouting out the whole planet, as cities don't show up on the planetary map until the reach level-3 (cities) and are placed on the map by the mayor who must have the politician xp to do so. Also, player cities have to be 1000 m apart so that is why it is important to scout out as much as possible or you may end up putting down a city close to something else that won't allow for full expansion of your city limits.

It takes alot of prior planning on your part to have everything ready to go when you place the city hall. Hope this is helpful to you, and that you can find a place to put your city. It is up to you, it takes alot of time and effort on your part to make it happen.

We were able to get our 10 registered citizens today 4 hrs before the city hall 24 hr deed time limit to become a player city. I was alot of work, and I'm glad that is over with. I am so glad we have a player city now. Yeeha!

Hope you find a place soon to place your city hall and get your citizens there. Time is so critical. If you wait too much longer you may be faced with the same dilema you experienced before: "player city cap for this planet has been reached"
