Thread: Income Tax as membership Fee does anyone use it?
Hey,
In my guild we decieded at the start there would be a guild fee, to stop the lazy buggers. Also to make sure people worked in the guild.
If the town is mainly full of guild you can use the Income Tax to collect it as it suggests. In the Past week I've started to raise it.
First 500 credits per/week,
This week its 1.000 Per/week
Until we finally meet what we decided on which was 2K credits per week.
If the Towns are to work then it has to be a 2 way thing the citizens has to help the mayor to do the work that they want him/her to do.
I would like opinions of Mayors if they think this a good thing to do, or a good way to collect the membership fee.
I forgot to mention that I did add a Fort xXx policy that the people that work Hard get back their Fee.
If the people of the town don't work then the other Taxes got up. So 1st week they all will be 1% and will go up each time they keep being lazy.
If they put effort in then the taxes goes down.
nope.
my city has a 2% sales tax and no other taxes... we are a crafters town, lots of crafters and lots of venders. so the sales tax goes a long way towards paying the weekly bill (maybe 25%)
the rest is payed by donations from the more wealthy residents who deposit credits into the tresuary once or twice a week depending on how much cash they have made... eg if an architect sells 10 heavy extractros for 150k each, then he would most likely stop off at the city hall and put 100k into the kitty.
no one is required to donate.. but we are never short (currently the weekly maint is just over 400k, we have about 2.5 mil in the kittly at the moment).
this system works just fine for our group, who are all fairly close.
