Thread: clone center city financing?
I'm seeing some references to Cloners being money sinks..
..now, I'm thrilled to have our Cloner, it brings vital traffic to our city.. however, it's anything *but* self-supporting - I even dropped the "Clone Lab Specialization" when I figured it's debatable if it's going to grant it's "20% savings" before the next update .. but wants 80k to "decide" on the next update.
Why can't we have control over how much cloning/ins is going to *cost*.. or, at least contribute a percentage of the income to the city, ala shuttleports?
The income from our Cloner would probably support the city all by it'self.. and I can trim the tax rate (which, since I have no real scale to figure out, am still not sure isn't gouging my citizenry...).
Summary: Cloner fee options
Tax view from City Terminal (already covered in "Top 5 Issues", I believe)
yes.. the medical, entertainer and cloning city specs are useless imo.
would be nice to get kickbacks not just from the cloning facilities, but other things like the npc trainers... they cost 1000 credits to place and about that again each week for each trainer.. it would be nice to have a pay per use thing to recoup some of this cost from those that actually use them, not from everyone in the city that pays the generic taxes.. or at least the option to do it this way..
