I dropped all of my Politician skills, including Novice Politician and I still won as the incumbent Now I get to be mayor of our town without useing up any skill points.

Of course, the Resign option would be nice. In the mean time I get to go back to working on other skills since I can't help my citizens with placing and removing trainers, etc.

Don't enjoy it too much, it's a bug and will be fixed relatively quickly now that you posted about it. Still, those are skill points put to a better use.

It would be lovely if dropping skills were a way to resign, it's too bad that it doesn't work for that.

I'm not complaining, and I hope they do fix it. I have been trying for 2 weeks to hand off mayorship to someone else, but we can't get enough citizens to wonder into town and vote to make the switch.

If they would just make the Politician a SKillpointLESS profession, it would be fine as well.
