WOOT! After 5 long months of slooooow xp, I made MASTER POLITICIAN today! WOOT WOOT!
Yeah, I'll run around with my title to brag for a bit...then I'm dropping to 0/1/2/1 since my city is pretty self sufficient now.
Now then...to another question:
Are there any stinking plans to actually give us mayors some kind of budget report? I'd like to know how much my garage is taking in, how much my shuttle is taking in, how much taxes are bringing in. I've posted my opinion on the "in concept" forums. *shrug*
I'd also like our cities to get a small cut of the trainer fees. Like even 100 credits? SOMETHING to compensate us for the expense.
Just my two creds.

well first off congrats to Matering Politician. No easy task (long as hell I know) Now on to your ideas agreed with the Budget Report. Having this would be the greatest add-on at this point for serious politicians. Also having a trainer fee would not be a bad idea either. 100 credits is not a big number and I'm sure most citizens who do train won't mind paying for it. After all these trainers do cost us 1000 credits a week. That's 12k/week for 12 Trainers in a Lvl 4 city and no profit in return. Also I woudnt mind seeing a sort of tax on Mission terminals dropped in the city. Perhaps also a fee for the cantina that goes to the city treasury. It could be added or removed as needed for those special events. Just my 2 cents on this subject.

The 100 credit fee I was speaking of, should come out of what we are already charged to use the trainers. So it's no additional expense to anyone...instead of the money vanishing into the server, some could go to the city.

I was Master Politicianfor about 8 hours......I did drop some skills but had to pick them up again when I removed a garden to place another Guild Hall......then I had to go up again...lol....
Anyway....it's going back down to minimal politician as Ireally need towork on another profession. I think, I'll even select 12 permanent trainers then drop that too.
Since it takes most player cities a significant amount of time to get a good and stable amount of citizens 70-75) and then more time to getgood skilled combat Masters and PvP, GCW, Player Cites and Strongholds are all needing some "fixing/adjusting" - I don't think many are in a hurry to do much else with Player Cities atm.........we're all waiting for these fixes to happen.
I'm allfor the trainers(and other things) returning revenu into the city.I'm even for Player Cities to cost less to make it more attractive for players to join.
I do hear somegood suggestions coming fromthis forum. I find, the most aggrevating thing is notknowingif our ideas/suggestion actually go anywhere or just stay here.It would be nice to get some acknowledgement and a schedule of when something would be fixed/added.
** We don't need thousands of things fixed all at once - just for the Dev's to put one fix in ever now and then - that would make me happy.**
It is my view, one of thethings that will keep this game alive is Player Cities. Sure, there will be solo and group players, but it's Player Cities keep many larger groups of players (50-150)in the game, adding content, events, hunts - - and friendships/community.......
Ialso think, we are now seeing more cities failing and inactive players. I don't know if it's becausesome were smallpadded cities or it's also because of summer but I think, many are waiting for the influx of NEW players with the JTL.
So, what I'm saying is Player Cities are important and should be taken more seriously. And,anything that can be addedto Player Cities that will add content, keep the players involved, make it better for Mayors, Politician and Citizens will ONLY HELP!
BTW, Congrats - lets break out the whine
The question is ARE THERE ANY PLANS?

It's very easy for us to get upset that we think we aren't being listened to. But as someone who knows a little bit about computers, this crap takes time and there are thousands of us playing...thousands...each with our own ideas and variations we'd like to make it better. I just wish peeps wouldn't be so critical of the Dev's because I truly believe they are doing what they can...not sitting on their butts laughing at us as we conjecture they aren't paying attention.
I hear you about inactive players. I'd say weekly, I have to fight losing my city level due to players accounts that have gone by the wayside. In our efforts to achieve a new level, we recruited anybody and everybody. I'm sure 75% of those players were noobs and/or the trial account players. The rest are peeps who just decide not to play. Server reloads, account goes inactive, house disappears, we lose a citizen. Okay, back to the recruiting we go. The cycle is endless. I tried getting a guild to move to my town, to which they agreed until it was actual moving day. So I continue to toy with 55 citizens everyweek, and I just know it's going to catch up with us one day....we'll lose our shuttle and thus our traffic and thus our revenue....and the vicious cycle begins.
Perhaps a fix (and this is just a brainstorm) is this: only citizens can benefit from city services so that players are forced to live in them if they want the amenities? I'm not sure I like the sound of that after I've written it but I'm still throwing it out there. To entice players to move there, only citizens can have the increased payout of terminals or use trainers, etc. If that's too extreme, maybe there'sa fee for non-citizens so that they can still use them? IDK....
