Just curious did they reinstatethe 6 week inactivity rulerecently?

Although, a CSR told me it's still in effect and both the Holocron and Knowledge Base say so, the overall consensus of this forum is:

Theres no way. We still have a whole town full of inactives that have been inactive for months and months and can not change mayors because of this.

hon... it's not overall consensus, it's the answer I received from the devs. if a CSR and the holocron says otherwise, please report them. (no I'm not kidding... CSRs sometimes aren't aware of changes)
