Thread: Please Raise the City Cap on Naboo
Here's my sob story. You get lots of residents. You put up with horrid double updates in one week, sometimes three updates causing your city great loss of funds (yes csr was kind enough to replace these funds after a ticket). You dont complain (much). Then finally, your city dings to level 3. You get an email stating that you cannot expand or get level 3 abilities because of a cap that has been met on your planet. Little frustrating yes? There are many other cities that are in the same predicment that I am. We deserve the perks of level 3 as we've worked so hard on our city. Granted we dont NEED a cloning facility and such, but we do WANT the one. We do however, NEED to have our city registered on the planetary map because we are an artisan community. And we do NEED to have the ability to make our city a manufacturing center. None of which we can do as a level 2 city. I'm not pulling down on the devs structure of abilities per city level. I whole heartedly agree that level 2 cities should not have the perks of level 3, but I do wish that those of us that worked hard on our city to gain the benefits of those equal to ours. I know there are alot of city bugs at the moment. But here I sit waiting for the DEVs to raise the cap as promised earlier in posts and such. They said over time. What I want to know, is how much time.

try .. no!
Go visit dantooine and enjoy its lag hell to see what more cities create...these dev's cant code anything right...and adding more scale just creates more then they can handle...thats reason they started small...had their fingers crossed it didnt blow up the first time /sigh
I can understand the cap of total cities on a world and the cap on the number of shuttle ports but why cap lvl 3 cities?
I mean it s great 15 lvl 3 cities are allowed. So subtract 10 from that which are already used by the old cities founded at the city update. So that s 5 left for those one who haven t been able to get on the seconds after update with a char waiting at the politician trainer and an architect prepared to build the city hall.
So we get a raise of the cap a month later but also a cap for lvl 3 cities. So the first 5 cities founded have won per default. Just because their cities may be updated a few seconds before others.
It s ok not to have your own shuttleport but it s really a problem not have a cloning center, medic center, the right to register the buildings to planetary map. We also don t get the increase in radius so our cities are not allowed to develope any further.
So all we can tell our citizens is that we are sorry but if you want any city benefits you ll have to leave and join one of the old mega cities from first update.
So keep the total cap and a shuttle port cap but remove the lvl 3 cap!!!
That's not a bad idea, but their problem is to do with player city 'things', like decorations, trainers and gardens.
The more larger cities, the more of these objects there will be. That's why the limit the number of large cities. Once again its a database problem, and its going to be a problem for the lifetime of this game.
We went on a spree adding people to our city to make sure we had the 55 required required for lvl IV and the shuttleport.
Here's my concern:
what if they don't remove the cap but just raise it again? and the new patch update happens like the day AFTER they raise the cap? That's a whole week we have to wait again before we're eligible to be a lvl IV.
By then enough cities could have filled the cap limit and once again our city is hamstrung.
