Hi all first sorry for my english
Tonight i become the major so im little confused, not easy to find information on that profession. Can you say wht's more important for begin? We are a rank 3 Township with enough citizen to rank 4 but the city cap blocked us, so no shuttleport, we must wait and hope for a patch or we must change planet? And for the money, the taxs...can you explain me a little how to begin for have enough money? Thx all!

Welcome to the profession - I think you meant Mayor rather than Major

Each vote gets you 100 xp. So, you have to wait until each election (weekly update) to advance in the Politician tree.
You need a Master doctor to place a hospital.. and a master chef, master dancer, or master musician to place a cantina. Other than the correct players, it depends on city size to place hospitals and cantinas.

I have read the FAQ, only one question left, how to make xp? After voting? How this works?
How much we need towait for place an hospital or a cantina? Thx!
