my guild has decided to pass the mayoral duties onto a character that can spare the skill points (master doc master rifleman doesent leave much room for politics) and what i would like to know is should i wait for the next city update to drop novice (when hopefully the new mayor character will take office) or if i drop it now... will we lose our city? i serriously hope not... cause right now... i could really use the extra skillpoints so if anyone knows... great... if not... i guess im gunna find out the hard way

I would advise waiting until the new guy actually wins the election and is in office.
Otherwise, you're looking at maybe a few weeks to get back to your current city rank.
