Thread: New Mayor with a few questions for the veterans

Good Morning all,


I have recently been elected Mayor of an exsiting Imperial city on the Eclipse server. Unfortunately we have lost several residents due to the inactivity rule demoting us to a level 3 city. Our current location on Lok places us far from the starport and about 1.5 KM from the nearest city with a shuttleport.


Question 1: Are there any plans to reduce the city size requirement for a shuttleport to a level 3 city. I only ask due to the fact most players are already residents of a city and getting them to move is a duanting task. This coupled with the simple fact that more people are leaving SWG than joining, I would think this warrents consideration for the downgrade. Common sense suggest that most players require a shuttleport for ease of movement in an otherwise travel time-sink game. Requiring 55 citizens at this time is a large number given the current make-up of the game.


Question 2: Is it considered an Exploit to do a cross server resident swap. I am sure everyone understands what I am refering to. I want to operate within the realm of acceptible practices.


Question 3: If question 2 is acceptable I am currently looking for such a trade.

1) I dont see them doing this. Because there would be shuttleports dotting the landscape. This way its only the truly larger cities that have them


2) I dont believe its been called an exploit. But the brief inactive rule we had was to fix that problem. Because people were cross-serving so many people as to get a metroplis.


That said. Try a small city and get to level 2. Just like any profession in the game. it helps to learn the lower levels of everything before you hit the max. Learn to deal with the limitations at each level. I was a level 3 township for a while. Now im back down to level 2. And im learning to deal with it. Had i been at level 2 for more then a week before. I would have had my town planned out better.
