Hi guys we may not get our Senate but we can at least build an information highway across galaxies which will at least help those of us serious about the profession find something to do with their time.
What I am thinking of is getting as much real time info as well can get so as when we ask the devs for some change we can back it up with figures that show why its needed rather than just talk about it.
That after all is the main point about a Senate. To be able to talk to others and hopefully get an agreement and what needs doing and then getting it done.
So here is the stats I feel we can start with. For the Valcyn Galaxy.
http://southerncross-pa.com/TopCities.htm
As you can see from these stats you can see what effect the inactivity rule would have at the next elecection. About 10 cities are very close to the edge. If they have an inactivity count of 10 or more then they are finished.
You can also see the amount of rebels to imperials living in these cities and how "Un" Starwars like it is to have so many more rebels to imperials.
You can also see that even though planets have caps non of the main planets have reached those caps. The fact that only 35 cities have a shuttle port says a lot about the server. It would also mean that the inactivity cose does NOT need to be applied to the Valcyn Galaxy. The excuse that others are waiting for a shuttle port on our server does not exist. All bringing that code back on to galaxy would do is destroy those 10 cities at the bottom of the ladder.
Note: My city is the Number 1 city on Naboo and number 4 overall at 95 citizens. Southern Citadel. So Im not worried about my shuttleport at all.
The next thing this list shows if you look at Naboo you will see I have been keeping that planets stats for 3 months already. You can see how the numbers of some city were affected by the inactivity code and how their populations moved around. As well you can see how many people left city living on Naboo over those 3 months.
Anyway you get the idea. Keeping these sorts of stats across all galaxies would be a great benefit to us all when we approach the devs with an idea and can back it up with real time stats.
If there are politicians out there who wish to keep stats across their galaxy let me know and lets get started on it. Maybe we can at leat form a Senate of 20 politicians who run a Senate website that keeps track of all this kind of stuff.
