Thread: Imperial Shuttles Dropping of STs

It was really cool and funny at the same time. I was just standing around, talking to a citizen of our city, when we both noticed an Imperial shuttle heading in, low to the ground. It stopped in a location well within our city, and dropped off about a dozen storm troopers, who immediately began running around and forming up in a line, then running around again, and forming up again.
If this was a static spawn, should it have landed inside the boundaries of our city?

Being Imperial, I have to say I just love this type of activity. It really brings a new sense of "fun" for me, I even look forward to my next sighting of an insertion force landing.
I've actually been helped out by this once, and have heard enough stories of others receiving a helping hand. I was getting leveled by a mob of maulers and this great white ship floated down next to me and released my saviors. Hooray for the Empire.
Have to say, though, I've never had troopers come down into the inhabited areas of my city, all around it yes, but not IN it to be sure.

Oh in the beginning I hated those shuttles, they mostly dropped after a probot has scanned me and I destroyed it 
But now I just like them, more fp for me
But it is a nice feature they have build in, if you are mark overt by the probot as i did you best run. Not nice to have a squad of stormies looking for you at the area. But as rifleman with conceal easy target practice

But would a probot be scanning within our city boundaries as well?
It was just weird...very cool and very fun, but weird too

My first experience with this was at night, so I didn't see it land. I happened across just a shuttle on the ground and thought, cool.. a static spawn. Then the insertion force populated and the shuttle took off and I was just amazed.

hehe.. my first was our group was hunting mokk... and a bunch more camp spawn.. luckily a group of storm troops dropped in and help us out
