Thread: Any way to drop from the ballot? Besides Voting?

Message title says it all. I need to stop being mayor, and its impossible for me to be voted out. Please help!

well you could always give up politician and be done with it... it's quick and easy. but think of all those you'll be leaving behind. They wouldn't be all too happy with you. May I recommend a server relocation and name change 
Whycan't you be voted out? It's pretty simple to accomplish

Already tried giving up politician AND dropping citizenship, both don't work. I need to leave office for complicated and personal reasons which I would prefer not to discuss here. Several of our city members are on game vacation and only log in every month or so to vote. There are two other people running for office.

unfortunately.... there is no easy way out....
the only thing you can do is either drop everything and hope that someone will vote you out before your account becomes inactive... send a mass email telling everyone to vote for someone else.. they just need the majority of 1 vote...
assign a couple of people to militia and have them recruit people to vote you out of office (that is the only way right now)
the devs promised us someday..(and I stress someday... not anyday) we will have the ability to drop from office as long someone else is running...
but that is not goign to be soon enough
