Thread: Civic Structure limit and Decoration Limit not working as advertised?

I'd like to ask my fellow mayors for a spot of advice about structure limits.


We placed our city hall the very first day Player Cities were implemented. At that time I seem to recall a lot of mayors complaining about the Metropolis limit of 31 Civic Structures and the fact that lamps, statues and fountains counted against this limit. One of the main points of discussion on the Politician board back then was about Street Lamps and the fact that, with the limit being so tight, it wasn't possible (or worth) placing many of them.


I recently re-read the Player CityGuide - here's what it says concerning Decorations and Civic Structures: -






The second group are "civic" structures. Civic structures are not placed by citizens, they are placed by the mayor. City Hall Bank Shuttleport Cloning Facility Gardens




Decorations

There are several decorations crafted by architects that may be placed in the city. Streetlamps, fountains, and statues may be placed anywhere in the city, but cannot be placed too close to a city structure. A city may have up to its rank x 10 decorations (More decorations will be added in the future). Decorations are dropped by the mayor from his or her inventory and may be picked up and moved.

A Metropolis sized city can have 31 Civic structures and should (according to the official info) also be able tohave 50 decorations. I'm still seeing all decorations appearing on the terminal as Civic Structures however. I've spoken to a CSR and he suggested I log a Bug report.


Does everyone else have this problem? Is it a bug or is the Guide incorrect regarding limits? Thanks.
