Greetings all,
My guild has a particularly difficult situation and I am hoping you all can provide some options and your opinions. Presently both our mayor and guild leader are both gone, the mayor has been gone for a number of months with no expected ETA (if at all) and our guild leader will be gone for approximately 4 months. Right now we have approximately 60 guildies, with about 15-20 actual active members and 40 citizens in our city. We do have a couple individuals that plan on running for mayor so a fix for that situation is hopefully close at hand, but the main focus of an emergency meeting held last night has been this ( and this is where I would appreciate your comments/options, etc)....
1) Disband the guild and re-form.
The problem with this as I see it is that if this idea comes to fruitition, we want a new city.
2) Form new guild and merge/ally with another guild in their city. We don't particularly want to join a new establishedguild but all feel the option of living in a city with a like-minded guild may be beneficial.
Problem is we'd like an input on city matters, etc.
3) Most, if not all, want to continue living on Tatooine, just outside Bestine. Forming a new city here poses it's own set of issues, if the city cap has not been met.
4) Several of our active guild members are active PvPers (although not at present but that is a can of worms we won't go into right now lol) while others are more into PvE - all are elite professionals. We are also an Imperial guild and will remain as such but are okay with the idea of neutral players, crafters, etc.
Those are a few of the issues we've discussed. Please feel free to offer any ideas, etc here or an in-game /tell if you are on Eclipse.
Many thanks in advance,
Tepesco Malus

Have everyone in the guild set alliegence to a new guild leader... Kick any inacvite members...
And same for the city, just vote him out of office...

Thanks for your reply Colonel Evel,
At the time our guild leader left, he set one guild member up with /kick rights. Unfortunately that person left the guild, later rejoined but no longer has those privledges so we can't get rid of the inactives.
A mayor fix is already in the works.

Please tell what server you are on. There are some smaller cities that would love to adopt you all, like Tusk'n Flats on Radiant for example...

you can always choose a new allegence to elect a new guild leader
mayor is tricker.. you would have to get another player and vote the old one out... this is hard.. but if you manage to get a lot of active to vote for the new person.. things will go well.

I believe we have the mayor situation under control but the issue is to set allegiance to a new leader we must have 51% of the entire guild, a rough estimate of active guild members we have is probably around 20%. It becomes even messier as we have no one in the guild who can /kick the inactive members.

Use the holocron and see if you can get any help from a CSR on the issue.
