We have several problems in ourr player city. We puchased 6 streetlamps to line our main road. It turned out that they cost 15k and that seemed a waste of taxpayers money. After they were left up we removed them before the weekly cycle was up, and accepted that the extra 15k would be taken for our usage.
The cycle ended, a new week began, and our city terminal STILL reflects those decorations there, and we are still being incurred a charge of 15k. This is a lot of money to just let slide, especially considering we are a budding city. Since we have begun a new cycle I figured it wouldn't charge us for two weeks of having decorations we possessed for 4 days! So here I am 3 customer service tickets later with virtually no response whatsoever. I am simply at a loss.
Lastly, I am unclear on the voting process. I was told originally that each person that voted weekly gave the mayor 100 experience points per cycle, per vote. Afterward I was told no one needed to bother to vote, that each no-vote was still counted by on behalf of each resident and awarded to the incubent, wether anyone voted or not. So if you have 27 citizens, thats 2700 xp. Is it true no one even has to bother voting, even if there is just one mayor?
Thanks!

Ok so you have a problem with your streetlamps.
Your best bet would be to replace the same amount of streetlamps and remember to "remove" them as it's different then the other command (destroy or something like that).
Essentially you need to tell the computer to "remove" them from the city otherwise you'll still be charged for them even if they're not up.
As for voting. Right now, all citizens who don't actually vote will cast one vote towards the encumbant mayor. So you don't really need to do anything if there's only you running.
This poses problems later but it's great for earning exp at the start
