Thread: When does city voting stop?

Question about city voting. At what point does it stop recording votes in the Mayor Race. We have in our city the situation where it says the next city update is awaiting the server pulse. Does this mean that voting is closed and the results will be posted next server downtime in the morning? Or is it still allowed to vote in the Mayor Election ? Just curious and thanks for any info you can provide

Is this the message that used to show up as "Time to next update: error"?
Then I have the following to report.
A long time ago (so it could be different now) as the first city on the server of Gorath I was eager to get as many skillboxes as soon as possible. Goal was to have 41 players in the city radius by the first update - so I could buy all rank 1 skills (at this time there was a bug that didn't give XP for the mayors own vote) ... it was lots of logistics, and sadly just minutes before the sceduled update time was supossed to accure (which would take several minutes to hours) one of the residents moved registered in a house outside the city => revoked citizenship.
It was during the (rather long) time of update, where I was able to get another citizen to place a house and declare residence so only after the update periode started there were 41 people (== 40 votes == 4k XP) in the city ... so I assume that at least for counting up your XP you can wait until the update phase has ended (although you never know when exactly that's gonna be)

So no more voting at all.. but old mayor could still uproot the City Hall or other civic structures huh....
