I like the ranch idea that was posted not to long ago, I've thought about that quite a bit myself, and am glad im not the only one with that idea. Could doa few things with it, yes a biulding with a pen area by it, I really like the ranch house on tatooine for the hero quests btw, so thats another good example. Anyway instead of just limiting this to creature handlers, lets make the ranch available to everyone, but the way to get creatures is either by a CH taiming an animal or by a Bio-Engineer making one, then we have different kinds of milk, wild milk and domesticated milk, this would obviously produce domesticated milk only at this structure because youve domesticated the animal. The reason I say extend the idea is, why make these pens only limited to milking. Say you make different size ranches with different amounts of pens for creatures, so many creatures can be held in each pen to produce so much hide/meat or milk. Creatures have a life expectancy also so eventually they have to be replaced. Anyway these pens could also be used to house the other Domesticated resources of the planet, like wheat or rice etc.... this would make every ranch different. Beyond just making the product that come from the planets, ranches should have the ability to import creatures from other planets, just each pen would be planet specific so if a good shift of nabooian domestic wheat was on, and on another planet a good shift of say tat domesticated meat was doing you could get these. Now the domesticated resource should never have the potential to be better than the wild ones say the wilds max at 1000, but the domestics cap at 800 or 900, still worth having the farm. ALso one step beyone for Bio engineer or rangers... Bio engineers could create the seed necessary to have the crop of wheat for however long a time, and rangers as part of their foraging could just pick seeds up on the planet they were looking. Thought it would be a seperate skill from the normal forage, it would be like herbal forage, or something to the effect of finding plant seeds. This would allow artisans to have a way to get the resources they need, specifically those that do not have combat skills to get hide/meat.... also would give newer players to the game a way to make some cash with their lots.

hmmm, i think you'll find that rangers and scouts will have a major problem with this.
someone once tried to propose a "farm" idea and us Rangers quickly burned it down ![]()
