Thread: got mission terminal?
Get on Kauri
Go to Naboo
Go to Iris and try to get a mission with a lvl 80 character : limit on missions lvls is 50
Go to Riviera and try to get a mission with a lvl 80 character : no limit on mission level (you can get missions around lvl 80)
Want to reproduce again?
Get on Europe-farstar
Go to Naboo
Go to Blue leaves creek and try to get a mission with a lvl 80 character : limi on missions lvl is 50
Go to Cragstone and try to get a mission with a lvl 80 character : no limit on mission level (you can get missions around lvl 80)
Blue leaves creek on farstar is almost at the same position than Iris on kauri
Cragstone and riviera are both on the top north of naboo
Seems that mission took on mission terminals not only depends of player level but also city location....
There are really fluctuating results with this. I've been trying to get some concrete answers on whether this is supposed to happen in certain zones or if it's a bug. I haven't heard back after asking last time so I'll ask again on Monday. I'll probably be setting up an information-gathering thread as well once I know a bit better what the nature of the issue is.

It's not fluctuating results. All terminals dropped after some time frame giving out missions at a specific to planet cap. It seems Naboo has level 50 limit, Rori - 55, etc.
It was also capped at lvl 50 in my town.

Were you getting higher levels on terminals that have been around awhile?
It is clear that all new terminlas listing missions at lower caps (depending on planet they are on, all except dantooine), the fact that some old terminals changed their caps just confirms there some changes we don't know about. It may be caused by terminal being close to server border (it makes things to refresh more often).

Are you sure you didn't change those "... ones that were here for more than a year..." recently?

Pretty sure ^^ why would I had?
First time i came in this town, the classical mission terminal was already there, and it was on december 2003. The factionnal mission terminal came after a while, but i'm sure it have more than one year old.
I didn't removed/replaced any of terminals in my town since i'm mayor, and so did the previous one (at least for those 2, some other terminals were set and removed)
I'll double check with riviera's mayor, but there is maybe 2 factors for the same issue : new terminals are capping and town position may also be taken in account.

All new ones aren't. I just confirmed this one myself today with both regular mission terminals and faction ones. I'm still getting level 80 missions on a level 80 character.
I sent in another e-mail today, so hopefully I'll hear back soon.

planet?
Corellia. There have only been a few reports of the issue happening on Corellia, but there have been some.
I take it nobody here plays with explorer mission terminals?
For weeks they have not been telling you what planet the mission is on - if you force the waypoint into your onscreen waypoint indicator and go there, you get 50 spawns on the radar and map - but no actual spawns, and you do not spawn anything for the next half hour.
I also haven't gotten an artisan terminal to give us anything more than a level 1 mission. I sure hope that isn't based on CL...
Due to the fact thatmajority of SWG gamers use general mission terminals for xp/credit and creature resouce hunts, other mission terminals are less tested.

You have a good point.
Although explorer terminals are much sweeter for harvest missions. You spawn 45+ of them!
