Thread: A few ideas that would help out Mayors.
One thing I've had trouble with myself is finding a good balance for taxes. I can see where my cities money is going, but not where it has come from. Why can we not see a breakdown of total income from income tax, from sales tax, from residence tax? This would help a lot in knowing how to delegate taxes. I know our city makes a HUGE amount of its money from our sales taxes. I personally have 10-30 sales a day, and we have one of the top armorsmiths as well. He's made over 14 millin in composite armor sales since we started our city. Anyway a simple window to show how much money was made per week would be helpful in balancing our budgets.
I noticed on a recent dev post that roads/pavement were possibly in the works or at least would be mentioned. Is there any chance of a move command for mayors? I know this sounds silly and may be hard to impossible to implement, but an option for this would GREATLY help us organize how our city looks. This could be something that the citizen must /permit or whatever to allow the mayor to do this (to keep down griefing) and perhaps could only last for 15 mins or an hour? A rotate command would help as well.
I also wouldnt mind having NPC's randomly walk around the town or in key areas. Perhaps special quest NPC's could randomly be placed or whatever. Just something to make the cities more exciting than they are now ![]()
