Hey everyone,


I suppose we should get this rolling as soon as possible, seeing as more time is better than less for these types of things...


I've copied the topics into this thread that were present in the last voting cycle (having removed the winner of course), please feel free to add topicsand/or vote for the one you would most like to see answered.May the best topic win!








  1. Benefits at master politician - "Industrial Society" and "Scientific Society", where did they go?


  2. Mayor resignation - more efficient way to transition between mayors


  3. City ledger - documentary of income/expense


  4. Alternative /citywarn - put the militia back to work!

Definitely the Master Politician boxes as #1. That's six skillpoints worth of waste just to carry a title that should be the pinnacle for us.


#2, and not one I saw. Have the Gardens, banks, garages, and other civic structures manipulate terrain like faction bases do when they flatten a stretch of space.

#12 should be reworded to be more vague. Sorta like, what role will player cities have in terms of the space expansion? Will new civic structures be released that require the SE to be used, as in starports, ground based defenses ala ion cannon in ESB etc.


However I'd have to vote for the master lvl box. It's just wrong to have nothing to shoot for. I understand if you choose to drop all the skills and not use it...but give us something more then a badge and a title.


Another issue I'd like to see get either addressed or just plain 'ol brought up is whether or not they would allow gardens to treat terrain the same as a camp. It just feels wrong to have those steps going up, especially if you are using a "pathway" garden to somewhat represent a street or a connection of 2 areas. Would they be willing to have them force the ground around them to flatten out (which is what they look like in the SS available before the patch went live) and when will we get some new gardens potentially with a bit of a factional flare (statue of palpy)

3 : Ability to control "dead" structures in the city - I'd add to this the ability to find out who "owns" a structure atleast then you can contact them

futur thoughts:

- Merchant abbility for politicians to set Vendors as Information Portals/Quest givers - place City Information Tents - enter special event ads in bazaar - earn efficiency to city budget (not private buildings)
- Abbility to direct power to "council members" (set houses/taxes/militia ...)

Nice list, although some I am not familiar with(1,4, 5 and 13) If someone can send me an email and explain these tome a bit more. Thanks.

Neither our city or guild is much into PvP/GCW- this is new territory to me and what it means to the city. You can send me an email as well on your experiences - that would be helpful too.


Okay, these aren't in the list but I sure would likethem to be.

1.Have the citizenship list bevery much like the friends list in Ctrl+P, names sortable and also have identification of their Mastered profession(CH, BE). Maybe even include the wp of their house and the maintenance remaining on their house.

2. A way to take a picture of your complete city.

3. Costs of items. Why does it cost 1500 per streetlamp ? Thats 30k eack week in maintenance.

4.House maintenance notification emails. Maybe an email should be sent to players such as "You house maintenace is due in 2 days."


Now, back to the list (prioritized)

1.Mayor resignation - more efficient way to transition between mayors. I've mentioned this so SOE also. Maybe, if a mayor removes his house, he loses Politician altogether and an email is sent to all citizens that their city has lost it's mayor and to elect a new one.

2.City ledger - documentary of income/expense. I have no idea how much is coming from the garage nor the shuttleport or as gifts (from whom) were made to the treasury.This would be nice to know.


3City improvement options - change lanscape, paved roads, etc. I never understood why static cities had more items/structures than player cities. Didn't SOE say everything in the game is made by players ?

4. Ability to control "dead" structures in the city - when people quit and leave their stuff around, empty vendors, etc. I'm not sure what a good solution is here. What about the player who goes on vacation for 3-4 weeks.


I'm sure we'll see things.A round of applause to all the mayor and Guild leaders out there.
