Thread: Proposal and Voting: the next Bi-Weekly Question
Hey everyone,
I suppose we should get this rolling as soon as possible, seeing as more time is better than less for these types of things...
I've copied the topics into this thread that were present in the last voting cycle (having removed the winner of course), please feel free to add topicsand/or vote for the one you would most like to see answered.May the best topic win!
- Benefits at master politician - "Industrial Society" and "Scientific Society", where did they go?
- Mayor resignation - more efficient way to transition between mayors
- City ledger - documentary of income/expense
- Alternative /citywarn - put the militia back to work!
- List of /citybanned people, maybe in the city hall, only accessible by militia members
- Ability to control "dead" structures in the city - when people quit and leave their stuff around, empty vendors, etc.
- Verification on how some of the city specializations work
- City improvement options - change lanscape, paved roads, etc.
- Communication options - city chat room
- When will Factional NPC be placable to patrol cities?
- When is the next Politician Publish?
- For the Space Expansion, at what city rank, if any, will player be allowed to depart in thier personal ships from player cities?
- When will the 'city inactivity' feature be reinstated.

in order of most important for me (1 being the most)

my importance (also going by what "can happen" rather than wishing it will happen)
1. City Ledger (no game breaking rules here... just more data to plan better)
2. Mayor resignation
3. Master Politician skill boxes
4. list of banned people
5. city improvement.
Definitely the Master Politician boxes as #1. That's six skillpoints worth of waste just to carry a title that should be the pinnacle for us.
#2, and not one I saw. Have the Gardens, banks, garages, and other civic structures manipulate terrain like faction bases do when they flatten a stretch of space.

#12 should be reworded to be more vague. Sorta like, what role will player cities have in terms of the space expansion? Will new civic structures be released that require the SE to be used, as in starports, ground based defenses ala ion cannon in ESB etc.
However I'd have to vote for the master lvl box. It's just wrong to have nothing to shoot for. I understand if you choose to drop all the skills and not use it...but give us something more then a badge and a title.
Another issue I'd like to see get either addressed or just plain 'ol brought up is whether or not they would allow gardens to treat terrain the same as a camp. It just feels wrong to have those steps going up, especially if you are using a "pathway" garden to somewhat represent a street or a connection of 2 areas. Would they be willing to have them force the ground around them to flatten out (which is what they look like in the SS available before the patch went live) and when will we get some new gardens potentially with a bit of a factional flare (statue of palpy)

3 : Ability to control "dead" structures in the city - I'd add to this the ability to find out who "owns" a structure atleast then you can contact them

futur thoughts:
- Merchant abbility for politicians to set Vendors as Information Portals/Quest givers - place City Information Tents - enter special event ads in bazaar - earn efficiency to city budget (not private buildings)
- Abbility to direct power to "council members" (set houses/taxes/militia ...)
