Things are going well here in the beautiful city by the sea
I'm still waiting for the traffic to die down before accepting citizenship applications, although i don't hear back from most of the people i email information to. The increase in traffic is certainly nice, but my workload goes up as well. I've spent a lot of time in the cantina chatting with new people, as well as keeping the city in order.
speaking of cantina, our tavern owner ahsidh set up a few new rules regarding afk and such that made me happy
our citizens are doing well (mostly, there are always conflicts), our treasury is doing well, and there goes another week in NU
Sanctuary continues to prosper with its population stabilized at 65. Our senior guild leaders have returned and we are revamping the city to meet the needs of the players of Dantooine.
We've shifted our city specialization to Improved Job Market to better make use of the 15% bonus on the already high paying missions of Dantooine.
We've remodeled our Shopping Building into a second Cantina with the vendors done as NPCs within the space.
We've tenatively reentered the GCW with a Forward Outpost in the city that carries no defensive obligations, simply a convenience for the presence of a Rebel Recruiter.
Traffic in the city has been up and looks to continue to remain steady as we continue to make the most of the tools in hand to move forward.
Now I'm itching for SWG and my city again, but I have to say the effort in creating a good city council and relativly active city militia has payed out as city business didn't decline, rather even more citizens moved in and enrichend our city - our once rather barren market place is getting filled with full merchant tents once again - we even got a second cantina for the northern "hutt" part of the city - and an assasination event (I was murdered!) between ours and the neighbouring city (or a PA and several citizens of it) is causing some fun for the militia to solve the mystory of the forces behind the attack
Problem:
Sales Taxes seemed to not go into the city treasury, so we had to turn them off - the city was planed to earn money through moderate 3% sales tax (with all the vendors and shoping in town we should even be able to push it down to 1 or 2% if we would be getting money :/). Haven't had a chance to test it again since - and testing will probably anger the merchants again if not successfull (I think they like 0% taxes
Avatar City, Dantooine, Tarquinas is about to expand into a Metropolis. We've seen increasing traffic due to the Improved Job Market we have there, as well as two other Imperial guilds joining the ranks of our citizens.
Along with our super-low taxation, more and more people are wanting to join. It's definately a golden age. ![]()
