I know that tax problems have been posted and all of us mayors want this fixed. The fact that we are losing money by not receiving the taxes are rediculous! I know for a fact that we need these taxes and having the credits float into nothingness isn't right.
I have proof that my taxes are not reaching the city Tresury, and yet are still being taken away from the citizens.
1st piece of evidence:
May 5th: City tresury reported by myself at 609,347c
May 7th: City tresury reported by myself at 171,463c
(after the update of 483,500c)
The thing that baffles the mind is that I have 56 citizens and almost all of them say that they have received an email saying that they have been charged the usual 2000 credits. Now I do have a %15 tax on vendors and 300c on the shuttleport and that would account for the difference of 45,616c. Having 56 Citizens should have given me 112,000c but I clearly don't see that.
So as you can see this is proof that we haven't been getting our taxes from the citizens.
2nd piece of evidence:
I have never received a message saying that a citizen could not pay the taxes. It says that I should receive some notice when a citzen can't pay, and I'm sure that someone hasn't been able to. So why Haven't I been notified? Maybe because we are getting the taxes period!
Sorry for any rough talk but I want to make sure that we get what the citizens are paying for.

Income tax works a bit different than the city maint. though it has a set time that the tax is issued each week, players will only pay it when they log in after the set time. So if everyone were to log in right after the tax was set to be collected, you would see a large jump, however, since people log in at differing times, the money trickles in and is harder to keep track of. This also hurts the city if a citizen doesn't log in for a couple weeks, from what I have seen, the tax is only collected once (i.e. 2000) rather than the what they would have payed had they logged in each week. So if playerA logs in each day, the city gets the 2000 each week, but if player B logs in once every three weeks to check their house, I only get that 2000 once every three weeks rather than the 6000 had they logged in each week.
What it boils down to is that without some sort of reporting system that the mayor can get access to via the terminal, we will never know if the system is working correctly. This and the fact I can't let someone on the militia yet keep them from granting zoning rights are my two top pieces/pet peeves taht I have with the politican class currently.

I hear you Treabor! Thanks for the info on the Taxes... Stupid things should take it from the player despite their availability. And it should have been implimented and the beggining to be able to see some kind of chart or graph that tells who put what in the city Treasury.
(Date/Time) Stoogith has donated 5000 credits to the City Treasury
(Date/Time) Stoogith has taken 50,000 credits from the City Tresury (Because I wanted to buy a toilet for the back room in the city hall)
(Date/Time) Treabor has donated 10 holo-cubes to the City Treasury (hehe just joking)
Anyways what's from stopping them from implementing that? Maybe even something that would be sent to the mayors own second "/Note" kinda thing that saves in a file on our own computers. I don't know about you guys but I have plenty of space for a record keeping file the is only going to get about 2mb ever. I guess they just don't care about us and our wonderful profession. 
Oh well maybe sometime ni the future we will have a special place in the space expansions...

My Mayor pet peaves:
Not being able to see how I am getting money.
Not being able to take someone off the military list.
Not being able to give someone Zoning Rights and getting the "you are not the mayor/militia" when indoors. (found out it works outdoors sometimes!)
Oh and just a thought... Let mayors use the Barking Droids!!! That would be awesome! then we could spend more time in the city and less time spamming!! I actually have yet to see a droid barking on Bloodfin.... Guess noone likes using it lol. Oh well. That's my two cents!

lol Ya I got that line from Independence Day. 
Maybe even a graph of the city's monetary values with keys beside it saying what the movement up or down was caused by... Now that would be cool.

I would be perfectly happy with weekly mails about taxes and donations ... my city has a negative budget balance of 78k Cr. every week, but yet we have never been able to not pay. So obviously someone is donating money, i would just like to know who!
