Why is it that politicians can't do this. I know when you go to a faction recruiter you can trade faction points and gain training in all professions it seems except for politician. I think we should be able to trade points like everyone else. Maybe I am not going to the right place or something. Any thoughts or answers on this?

I don't want the ability to trade faction for Poli xp
I'm 700 points from my first level 4 box, and I'd hate to think I could go cash in 7 votes at a rebel terminal, seems wrong.

The politician is a pure "help others" class. There are no physical reward other than "personal feel good deed" with this class. Thus that is why you cannot trade in faction for training.

Ok. I agree. Help others class. If it is a no reward, no thanks type system which you really gain nothing by having then why charge skill points to learn it. I enjoy being Mayor. I enjoy helping others out. But at the same time I want to help more. Our guild has a level 2 city with 23 members. So knowing how the xo comes in I get 2300 per week. That is only enough for 2 first level skill boxes. Great we can have taxes, militia, and terminals. But the first skill box of policy is register city. I can't do that till we hit lvl 3. I know most of these complaints are already in this forum but it never hurts to have more so the devs can get an idea of what we are complaining about. I just feel politicians should be able to aquire xp in other places than just votes. Not for me or a meaningless tag but to make our city better for the citizens.

You also can't trade faction for BH training - some classes are just meant to be major time sinks, and this is one of them

think of the 'training' for the combat professions like going to the gym or a firing range. for chef it can be like making food for the mess hall. for ID you cut the hair of the new recruits, and so on, politicians don't have a real practice type thing unless they were to implement a Debate Forum that would be the politician equivilant of a battlefield

They do need another way to get exp though. Even if it's a ton of hard work,,,I would do it.
