Well why not True we aren't going to see much development time soon but it doesn't hurt to get the imagination flowing here on what some interesting new decorative features would be so post some ideas for new statues and gardens here. They can be faction specific and mentioned for the GCW revamp or not.

For a new statue type I'd like to see all the playable species immortalized. Give them token looks and clothing that just looks nice. It would have to be a male and female one (have them be respectable and not all just bikinni leggings etc.) Have them be life sized plus a base. That way dedications would be much more realistic. I'd rather have a bothan dedicated to me then a wierd ass looking chunk of blue or a big orb.

A new garden for imperials that is similiar for all the different levels (small, med, large) that is just Palpatine in all his glory. The small one would just be the statue and some plants, maybe a bench. The medium would be larger and also be/havea fountain at the base. The large would be even bigger and have 3 or 4braziers arrayed around it.

For rebels I can only think of a large molten glass (changing in color perhaps) sticking jaggedly up out of the ground or a bit of more normal rock. It can be calleda Shardof Alderaan or something and have it be labelled as such with a plaque/sign. Perhaps allow that sign to be alterable in text.
