When the cap is lifed in the next year, how will you determine which cities will be granted the right to advance. It would help to know something of teh advancing structure, as to ensure we haqve met the requirments for you. It is not to hard to communicate with our correspondent and give him information to tell us. He has done a great job, but can only help us if you give him the tools to do so. please give us a insight as to how the selection process will go, thats all I am asking. plz...plz...plz...plz...plz...plz...plz...plz..

The cap will be lifted? I seriously doubt it will be.

I am vehemently AGAINST the cap being lifted, even though I have never heard of the possibility. If the cap were lifted, every guild in every galaxy would just start their own city instead of finding another to live in. There would be an extreme overcrowding of cities. This cuts down on the realism of the game to a ridiculous extent.
If you want your own city, run for mayor.

Name: Eagon
Mayor of Swooper's Run on Tattoine. A Rank V city with all the amenities. Ask me about citizenship.
Master Politician
Master Scout
Novice Medic
4-0-0-3 Marksman
0-0-3-0 Ranger
2-0-0-1 Rifleman

I am prone to ignoring people who I find annoying, both in the game and on the forums. If it seems like I am not responding to your posts, it is probably because you have very little worth saying.

I am the mayor of a city with 60 citizens on a planet with capped rank. I am only wanting to know if tehy lift the cap, OR if another city drops rank, how do they decide who will get the rank 4 status over another town? How do they figure that out.

1. Is it who has the most citizens?

2. Is it who has the most gardens?

3. Is it who blows the DEV team?

Some insight as to how they will select who is given the slot that opens would help releave the stress around praying for a rank 4 city to drop rank. There are many rank 3 cities waiting on a shuttle port, and for the opportunity to advance. If they dont increase the cap, fine, but if they dont, they need to go around and check the cities they curently have for actually being a "City", and not a ghost town.

My vote goes for #3

I'm pretty sure it will just be the next city to update after the rank 4 one drops. If a city updates and looses it's rank then another city updates 5 seconds after it and has all the req's then it gets it. No matter if that city was founded last month or at the original patch. Kinda crappy, yes, but thats how the mechanics seem to work. So thats the best answer you'll get since the Dev's have forsaken us.

Blame me, I"m a rifleman and smuggler. Forall my professions it seemswe get even less responses;Imust have a curse.

So you are saying that all updates happen at the same time on the same day for every city?.... I call BullSh!t! The last 3 updates have been at 3 different times for our city. So I know that wil not be it. I would bet money on that.

I guess my vote is still #3

The updates have been at different times because the server clock stops during the reboots, while the RL clock goes on its usual business of adding an hour every 60 minutes. Hence the dicrepancy and variance in upgrade times. Get your original udate hour, add all the downtime since, and you'll get next week's hour.

If a city was setup 5 mn before yours, it will update 5 mn before yours.
