Was in the SWG chat this morning waiting on Eclipse to open up and heard a rumor that the devs are going to do away with player cities and force ppl to move into NPC cities with apartments and such ....

any truth to this ???

has anyone else heard this ???

aah, rumors rumors rumors... the air is full of them... where's the false, where the truth ??? who knows...

since devs aren't very good regarding player city communication, and since no one knows a damn thing about what going to happen... I wouldn't trust any of the things that are being said... untill devs wake up and tell us something... wow, i'm dreaming lol

I seriously douby it. I have heard on many occasions, that they are pleased with the way player cities have turned out. Think about it..... If they "forced" to move into NPC cities what would they do with all the pissed offf Politicans? Or how about the Architects to have thier Market reduced to Harvestors and furnature?

I think they would have better luck with thier former proposed crafting system.

Well if they do that I'm out, I'm sick of playing a BETA game.... no more revamps, fix it and stop toying with it. We keep having to learn a new game every week or so :-/

Gotta love rumors

.

It wont happen without some serious code work on the servers and without a lot of grief from the playing community. Still, I like the idea of apartment living and the whole concept of being able to place multi-player residences on a single spot to save on space and give the cities that extra "city feel".

One for the rumor file though I think.

uh... what the **** ???

I have NO clue where you heard these rumors from, and I don't even know where rumors like these come from (people's overactive imagination?)... but it won't happen. if you think about it... NPC cities are not buildable. NPC cities lag like hell. WHY would the devs want MORE lag in NPC cities?

besides, trust me when I say they can do this over my dead body.
