I am currently part of a player city and have been thinking about joining another one. Would I need to revoke my current citizenship before I could take up a new one? Also, what happens to the house I have in my current city? Do I have a certain amount of time to get my stuff and the house out of there?

I'm thinking I would put down a house in the new city, then carry as much as I could between me and the bank safety deposit box as possible and bring it to the new house. I could do it in a couple of trips, but I want to make sure that my old house isn't going to disappear as soon as I join a new city.

House maintenace is totally unrelated to declaring residence, so if you change residence from a house in one city to another (and that's all you have to do) - you wont lose anything. It's just a simple change of residency.
