Hi all, i have been a mayor for one week and can see two glaring problems that a mayor should be able to overcome:

1) debris within town area including objects such as small ponds should be clearable by a mayor...eg a clearground command.

2) buildings should be able to be coloroured in what ever colours the mayor decides eg paintjob command.

Pleas let me know what you experienced mayors out there think...

Im not to keen on the paintjob one - maybei dont understand it fully. How im seeing it is as follows please correct me as necessary.

Citizen places small tat house then decides he doesnt like the sand colour so he contacts mayor and says paint my house blue. You now have a blue house made from sand on tat.

I totally agree with Groove Kipal. And I don't mean to flame but we have more serious issues which needs to be addressed than painting houses or clearing debris. As a new comer you may not know that.

my personal ideas would be

1. expansion of "clear debris" would be "level ground" this would allow to place structures on hilly planes.. I know tent (temporary) does this... so terrain change code is available.

2. mayor resignation.. this is important allow a mayor to resign while having an opponent against him/her (without opponent cannot resign)

3. BUDGET SHEET!! I need to know exactly where the town's income coming from.... we have a good list of outgoing (with prices would be nice) and that way I can figure if we are balance or not instead of guessing... since all taxes, shuttle, repairs and such all go into the same pool but no idea if our facilities are being use or not.

first ill admit im not a politician (im reading yoru forum as im running 2 chars atm (diff servers) and am considering politician for some of my dancers remaining skill points)

something came to mind reading the later comments in this thread whne i saw that you get all your income listed without its source, i just get this image of a bunch of civil servants sneaking into city hall in the dead of night, to drop the weeks takings off in the treasury so that they mayor has no chance of working out exactly whos not dropping off what they should

leveling ground (at least to some small extent) would be VERY useful, i agree.
painting houses isn't all that useful, but perhaps a wider variety of housing options will be given to architects somewhere in the future.
