Ok for those of us that dont have alot of experience laying out a city and dont have a clue how to arrange their own cities maybe something could be devised as a 'guidline' for structure placements around cities with things like entertainment districts, medical districts, PA and house districts. Maybe an overlay or something like the city maps (ctrl-m) and even for those that are good at that make layouts and possibly market to others if they think their city, minus the city hall needs an overhall due to leaving players and such.

Just use the tool Tiaga made and is stickied up top. Works out great. If you don't feel you are good enough at it though I suppose I could try and help out with ideas or something. Only thing is that I prefer to base plans around the ground as opposed to the overhead map.

Awhile back, about 1 month before player cities came out I started drawing up blueprints for the city I was going to run at that time. I'll tell you though it almost always fails. Sure you need to be prepared and having a relative plan is smart. You might want to scope out your poteantial landscape and make sure its nice and flat. However theres always something that gets in the way. A citizen might not want to move their house into your organized plan, but have it where he wants. Hills, mts., lakes, etc get in the way and screw up your plotted locations. Unique areas like dungeons, caves, etc have a no build zone that can cut off your city. So don't plan every detailed structure's location but try to have a general idea of how you want things set up.
