Thread: Mayor losing all Politician skills

Does anyone know what happens to a player city if the Mayor surrenders Novice Politician? That is, the Mayor is no longer a Politician and therefore no longer qualifies to be Mayor. Does the City Hall go poof? If someone else is running against the encumbent, who no longer qualifies to be the Mayor, will the other person automatically become the new Mayor regardless of the vote outcome?
