I understand that placing a pavement should be the best solution for make our cities looks more professional and i also guess that should be very hard to implement it. But a mayor should be able at least to flat a little the terrain.

My city, Bellerofonte, is on a land that it is full of holes and hills. I know that is my fault to have choosen that spot, but Corellia is almost all like that! Im working hard to try to make it look more professional, placing houses in row, trying to put gardens in line with others structures and so on. But any time i choose a new solution for placing a structure the terrain is not flat, so i must give up because the structure cant be placed.

Please devs give us the skills to make our cities more comfortable for our citizens and visitors. This should be useful to prevent crowds in cities as Coronet as well.

Thank you

That would take the challenge out of city design, and the organic feel out of cities. I've been to the Tatooine cities laid out in rows like that, and it's really boring.

Well the thing is that even if avenues and symmetry isn't your bag (which it is not for me, I hates it) the power to fill in that mini trench with just a bit of dirt to let that one more house fit would be great. I'm also on Corellia and trust me my spot has to be worse then yours but even when we eventually expand to a more buildable area it is going to be a challenge to get the place looking great. Especially since you have to bug your citizen to move the house just so and can't do it yourself.

I would like the ability to place individual plants (trees, hedges, small flower bed). Let us fill in the depressions with water (or the ravines). I would like to see the ground smooth out where it is slightly uneven (I've gotten use to the big uneven spots in town - the challenge - hehe).

I cant understand why public structure does not flat the ground. I mean... we placed an imperial HQ and a huge area has been flattened around the base. Placing a simple camp flat the area even if u r on the top of an hill. It is frustrating not to be free to place the structure where u want inside your city. Expecially when this thing involve the gameplay of so many players. I mean that lots of people spend hours in our city for crafting or for missions. And i am getting tired of writing mails explaining to them why the city is still looking as a nomads camp.

Yes, the technology to flat the ground exist, but is allowed only on some structure (HQ, Rebel base, camp(!), city hall)... why not important structure as cloning facility, cantinas, shuttleport! (my god, i saw a poor protocol droid almost all buried in the sand... it looks very bad for a big game as this one). And pavement! Why devs has designed player cities without thinking at the terrain! It is not player cities is player nomad camps!

They wanted to get the cities out asap is why we don't have this stuff. It was meant to be in the game for release after all. I would prefer if all civic structures flattened the ground around them rather then building themselves up off of it. How incredibly would it look if you didn't have to walk up steps to walk through an archway only to walk down steps then back up a few more to walk through another archway? I mean some of these gardens have practical purposes but, thanks to that white thing beneath them, it is completely removed leaving them static in the city as opposed to a dynamic element that draws you to it. Sure people want to look at it but who wants to have a path leading to the merchant district (lets assume medium wall making you go through the garden) if it looks the way they do now?

All the more reason to carefully plan where you put your cities. On Dantooine our city is in a very beautiful location that have nautral walls. This kind of gives our city a natural feel to it, and has a harmonic state with the landscape. Because of teh various hilly area and so on, our houses tend to be taller, which then gives the uniqueness to each of the houses.

Majority of the houses in some way or another don't have the same height, and we have this one large naboo house set in away where it's almost as tall ast the city hall itself and gives a beautiful view over our city.

I really hope they don't consider having the grounds around the area you build the buildings flat automatically. There should be an option for something like this, or maybe a politician skill that involves this.

Yes, this is what i mean. An option activated by the mayor to flat the ground. I know cities comes in a bunch of flavour, who want it flat, who preferr the hills. Who place the housesall around, whoalign. The point is that a mayor whit his citizens must be free to place a structure wherehe want, without the risk of having a fountain half floating in the air. Or as my garden, the point where it is now it is the only one where it fit in a range of hundreds meters!
