Do lampposts count toward your decoration limit? I've started placing many lines of lights around my city and I haven't been able to figure out if they really count towards my decoration limit of 40. Could anyone help me out? Thanks!

Yes, you can see a list of all current civic structures at the city terminal, under "City Structure Report."
Streetlamps are included.

Yep. They also cost 1500c a week, which is a little steep in my opinion. I'd love to have lights all over to help guide weary travelers, but that's only a dream for now...

They count as a decoration, but not as a civic structure. Despite appearing in the terminal list, it's lying... they don't count against the civic structure limit. Handily, it doesn't tell you how many of your decoration limit you've taken up. So you have to keep count of them yourself.
The only one I'm not sure about are gardens, which people say are a civic structure and a decoration... it's going to take awhile to hit 40 decorations to test that one.
