If these decoration items are placed too close to the edge of the house, it seems that they make a small area right outside the house unbuildable. Often times this will not even show up on the overhead placement screen, but when you go to place a building close to the house, you will get a "there is no room" message and it will not let you place it even though it displays green on the placement screen.

On a slightly related note, if you are standing outside of a house with a fountain, brazier or whatnot sufficiently clipped into a wall, you can click on it from outside the house

Yes, especially with naboo mediums... I've /bugged it in-game, but hopefully they'll fix it sometime.

there is another "somewhat" related issue. Once you place lets say.. your house and gardens and such.. and you want to decorate it with lamppost... if you happen to pull up your house or garden.. you can't place new things until you remove your lamppost as well (takes up a circuler "yellow" foot print) interesting isn't it?
