Hi everyone this is my first post on this forum. I know my problem isnt new, but I still want to let everyone know. I play on bria server and I am the mayor of Camp Humpreys on Dantooine.

I put a lot of effert and time in building the city. I paid for everything all the decorations every house I gave to new members all the city structures. I really took some pride on building the city and it looks great. I used to have over 70 people in the city and growing. Well since the CU nobody is online, and everyone has or is leaving the game, my city is down to about 55 people = (

I also pay all city maint and now with CU making money so much harder the 600k per week is killing me. Im in danger from losing everything, so pappi plse step up and get something fixed. I know there busy with everything else since CU is so broke but a real quick fix would be to increase weekly maint to monthly, or just lower maint. I have 3 chars on bria and I am finding it very hard to stay interested these days, and if i lose my pride and joy it may do it for me 2.

Before I go I would like to extend this welcome to any guilds without a city and anyone looking for a good home let me know my IGNs are -drapo- -draco- or joob-joob

usually on one or other. Thanks and hope I can get some help

Bump all you want, but that's not going to change the current situation.

Keep in mind that Pappi is a correspondent, not a dev. She has no control over the developer's schedule nor what fixes get put in place.

It *is* possible, however difficult, to run a large city using only taxes (allowing for the fact that they don't all work properly). It's a matter of evaluating your expenses. Take a good look at what you're spending each week and make sure you're not being charged accidentally for structures/decorations/trainers that may have been removed. Having city fund raisers or donation drives have also been successful for many cities needing extra income.

If your citizens are going to be upset over taxes that ultimately amount to pocket change, then maybebeing a part of a Player City isn't the right thing for them. They get benefits from the city, it's only fair that they chip in a small amount to keep it going.

just get sponsors, find someone with a shat load of money or someone who runs a business. and see if they will sponsor like 200k a week for your city and in turn, promote them and sell their wares.

Hike the taxes up man, refund whatever amount to anyone who complains. If taxes are 10k and they go nuts at anything over 2k just refund them 8k and explain the city's situation just as you did here.

Another thing, and you are not going to like it but I have to be frank with you, neither you or anyone is entitled to have a metropolis or a ctiy at all. Cities should arise and thrive out of need and survive based on their viability, not because a guild or couple players have billions of credits. Hate to be blunt like that, those are the breaks. You essentially are asking your correspondant to have the devs accomodate you personally. Try to let go of your personal ingame concerns and judge that from an unbiased perspective, surely you see how bad an idea that is.

The cost of maintaining a garden is way too high. For something that has no use other than aesthetics, there should be a fee to place it, then no more maintenance after that. Same goes for streetlights. I cut my city's maintenance costs by almost 50k/week just by removing the statues and streetlights--and most of the citizens didn't even notice they were gone.
