Theaters require 3 lots and can be placed by master Dancers and master Musicians.
Right now playertheaters have several problems including:
- Wounds and battlefatigue cannot be healed on-stage, nor can one buff on-stage.
- The back room is the only place where healing and buffing can happen.
- No furniture can be placed on-stage except for city decorations such as street lamps.
- The Ommni Box and Nalargon are not usable on-stage unless someone places the instrument on the ground outside first and then "drags" it up the steps and ramp to the stage using the "use instrument" option from its radial menu.

I have a couple questions,
Why is it that cantinas and med centers are player owned, but cloners are not? Cloning centers must be placed by the mayor (Which I dont really have a problem with). Also, are theaters player owned or mayor owned? If player owned, how many lots and what proffesions are needed.I know theaters need to have MUCH more features, but we just want one to complete out city.
Thanks in advance,
Lexx

Hiya Lexx!
To address your questions in order....
...dunno - guess they wanted some buildings to just be owned and paid for maintenance-wise by the city.
...Theaters are player-owned.
...Theaters require...I believe it's 5 lots. You need to be a Master Dancer, Master Musician or Master Entertainer (not sure on the Entertainer part).
Hope that helps!

Thanks for everyones information
Yeah, I geuss the cloner was just mayor placed to make it more expensive to run the city. And as for the lot issue, thanks. I know a cantina is 5 lots and a med center is 3 lots. Hmm, the theater. I think I will have to look more into what lots it takes.
Anywho, thanks again!

The assumption is that Cantinas and Theaters and Hospitals are a perk for their relative professions both from a standpoint of allowing those professions to perform their services in player cities and from a roleplaying point of view. Cloning Centers, Vehicle Garages, Shuttle Ports, and Banks are seen more as "city infrastructure" and are therefore classified as civic structure instead of player structures.

Yes, theaters are used more for rollplayin in my opinion. Later I want to start a play, but when you think about it, the cantinas look like they could suit better for that.
