Thread: Wonderfull feature: I just donated all my money to a city

So there I was, late at night. Very late at night. In the morning already, to be precise.
First time I took a closer look at a player city, sniffing around, finding the city management panel, checking its infos - and while playing with the fiscal slider, I donated all my money to the city. Great. Really great. All 104.285 cr gone. So much for my new droids. Weeks of hard work gone in just a few milliseconds.
I'm not a member of this city. Darn, I even can't afford a house ! So why am I able to mess around with the money settings ? Shouldn't it be up to the mayor only to transfer money ?
I mailed him a few hours ago, but so far no response. Did he get at least a proof (e.g. mail notification) ? Or can I just kiss the money and all my willingness to further play the game good-bye ?
P.S.: No, I'm not a kick-*ss top-of-the-notch player that can just have a trip to one of those uber-planets and make 1,000,000 cr in an hour. 100k really means something to me.

we as mayors dont get any confirmation of donations... doesnt really matter though.. its only ths same 2 or 3 people per week doing it anyway...
i feel for you man... maybe if hes a nice guy he might return 50k ( daily cap for withdrawls) but if your luck is this bad so far... id bet you got one of them ghost towns where the mayor stopped playing 6 months ago... if thats the case you might wanna think about some in town delivery missions...

2. don't select to give all your money away

Yes, it is a wonderful feature and I'm glad it's there.
Donations keep alot of cities running.
Maybe the mayor will be understanding... but you should accept responsibility for your own mistake.

^^ Kinda got a point there.. it's not like you walked up to the terminal and it sucked the money out of your pocket. Sorry to hear about it, but perhaps you'll be a bit more careful in the future.

I hope you come visit our city.
It's not the first time someone put s100k ofpower in a harvesters or accidently deletes something.
Since you've been registered since Jul of last year, Ihope, that's not really your reason to quit playing either.

LMAO..You just made my whole day. I wish we would get confirmation on who donates. Not even how much, just who. I'd like to acknowledge their efforts.

Well I had this happen twice ... Luckly for the donators it was a time where I had a close eye on the city treasury, so I noticed the amount they donated and could repay them (from the money I recived as "outside donations" that went onto my bank acount so I'm able to react quicker than 50k/day) ...
But one of these "fault donators" was a very strange case ... he came running to me like
. 
. . "Hey hey ... I think your city hall is bugged" ...
. . "Hey hey ... I think your city hall is bugged" ...
biwan: "Why do you think so" I ask. . . "How much is in the treasury"
. . "How much is in the treasury"biwan: "A few million I think". . . "I don't think so anymore ... harhar"

"I don't think so anymore ... harhar"So I look, and it's about the same ... a bit higher ... the player just donated all his money ... but obviously didn't notice until I said so ... so I assume this guy was trying to use a bug to get the money of your city treasury onto his bank account ... luck for us that this was one system that wasn't bugged.
