I've read a lot of threads on the issue, and haven't yet to see an answer, so I thought I'd just pass the info along.

Placing a decoration is easy, just select place decoration on the item's radial menu.

Now here's the confusing issue: Decoration Removal. On objects, such as street lamps, statues, and fountains, that are placed in your city you will see two (2) options. A) Pick-up and B) Remove. When you wish to pick-up and mve an item, or remove it from your city completely, ALWAYS select Remove. What pick-up does is the same thing as pick-up inside of your house. It doesn't actually remove the item from your city. What happens is items you have used the pick-up command on are still counted against your city, and they are not replacable UNTIL you select the Remove command on the item. I believe Pick-up is spill over from housing/items. The Remove command does both, picks-up the item, and removes it from the city.

I have clicked pick-up on 5 street lights.....how can i get these switched to remove. When clicking the redial only option is to change direction. There is no drop or remove option for it now that it's in my inventory.

Once I have removed it how do I place. Will there be a "Drop" option on the radial when in my inventory?
