Shuttle Tax - does this still reset every day?
I've seen reports that this is still happening. However, it doesn't effect every city. Our city is not effected by this. The tax hangs steady at exactly 150 credits.
Garage Tax- is the money going to the right place?
Seems to be.
Property Tax - is this working as intended?
This one seems to be working fine as well. And the main source of income for our city.
Sales Tax - at last I heard the merchant got the extra credits....
Conflicting reports on this. But they seem pretty consistently broken since Publish 10 (or was it 9?). Our city have had them broken since like Publish 7, with the extra money sometimes going to the merchant, sometimes going to the treasury, and sometimes disappearing into limbo. Pappi has said that this has been reported several times, but no word on a fix. I believe, however, it HAS been acknowledged as a bug by the Devs and/or CSRs.
Clean Air Tax - CAT for short and I totally just made that one up.....
Nice.
While we're making up taxes, how about...
A tax on peopleusing our skill trainers!
A tax on people using our cloning center!
A tax on people drinking beer in town! Oh wait, scratch that one, I'dgo poor.

What are certain about city taxes these days?

Well if a player had left the game , and the empty shell of a house is still there, they have no credits in the bank - would the income tax come out of house maint. as a default for their taxes?
No. It will never take taxes from a person's house maintenance.
In fact, it seems as if a character who does not log in during a given week will not be charged that weekly Income Tax.
That is based upon a realization that the "You have paid your Income Tax" email seems to arrive in your Inbox the first time you log in AFTER the most recent city update.
Example:
City Updates on Monday. I log in on Monday night. I get the email that taxes have been paid, dated like right then when I log in.
City Updates the following Monday. I log in on Wednesday night. I get the email that taxes have been paid, dated like right then when I log in.
City Updates the next Monday (we'll ignore the weekly creeping of update times
) : I don't log in this week.
City Updates the next Monday. I log in on Tuesday. Same thing,I get ONE email that taxes have been paid, dated right when I logged in.
Now, if these emails are accurate and sent out only when the taxes are actually paid, I think it's probably a safe assumption that I wasn't charged taxes during the 3rd week. Simply because I never logged in during that period.
