I believe they said October was the month when accounts cancelled 6 months ago or longer would be deleted means houses go pfft.
So do we have a more firm date?
They also said after the first perge it would be done monthly. What does that mean?
Does it mean:
a: Each month they check if an account has been calceled for 6 months.
OR
b: It then becomes if a account is cancelled for a month its deleted.
I take it the answer is (a) but you never know.
It would be good to get a firm date as soon as possible to give cities a real time to make any needed changes. If they only tell us a week or two before hand that may cause more damage than would otherwise be the case.

thought they alerady did a purge? i know of a couple mayors who's cities went kaput or shrunk in actual level due to the purge.
they most certainly aren't going to purge your account if you've only been offline for a month. that would be suicide for them. sometimes people take breaks and come back, not uncommon. they probably meant that every month they'll check to see if you've reached the 6 month inactive mark to purge you.
but then what do i know, i'm just a dish

By each month they mean if you've been inactive for 5 months in october nothing will happen, but in november you will have and bye bye house.

Has not happened to us yet. I've lost 7 residents this month, but each time I recieved a "so and so is no longer a resident." That means the building imploded and destroyed itself, while the player was still a declared resident. So I'm not even sure if the Resident Timer is working, let alone the Account Timer.
Each day I visit a house owned by my friend that quit the same month player cities went live. Its still there.

It'll be interesting to see if it borks. Hopefully they've got it coded well enough that it ONLY eliminates cancelled accounts.
Suddenly, there was an ebb in the player cities as if thousands of citizens cried out in terrorand were suddenly silenced.

Yes I really want a date on this too. I have no doubt in my mind that we will shrink from metropolis to rank 4 or maybe even rank 3... but we need to know when so that we can do what we can to keep the registered citizens who actively play within the central zones so as not to get into that ever-decreasing circle issue you can't get out of.
Pappi, please lobby the devs for a date on this one?
Thanks.

Just so long as they didn't forget to check their 1's and 0's and we end up losing active players or hell even our own accounts...

I'd really like to know for sure if this means anything owned by inactive people goes poof even if you're on admin of something and keeping it paid. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has storage on other people's lots.
