Well the patch was Nov 16th and it is supposed to be 3 weeks. Which places the three week marker at 12/7

However that does not appear to be how they are doing it. They are Syncing it up with the city updates so it would be effectively every third city update.

My city update happend 12/4 and my elected ended and restarted at the same time. So it looks like they are choosing the nearest city update to the 7th. Whether it is before or after the 7th.

I have a question about that.

I put my politician up for mayor on the evening of the 1st of December. The incumbant has long since left the game and nobody has run for mayor since. To attempt to take over the city I registered for mayor and got 2 votes. The next city update was on the 2nd of December and my politician did not win. He was the only one running so there were no votes for the incumbant.
- Is there a minimal running time prior to being able to be counted?(maybe to prevent sniped elections)
- Is there a minimal number of votes required to actually win?

The information in this game is so hard to come by it seems...

sounds like you registered too late. you're not suppose to be able to register the last week of elections, just try again this time and remember to register in the first 2 weeks.

That's probably it. I registered(it let me), the night before the elections. I figured we might get lucky.

After I lost, I registered the next day so I think it'll work the next go around. Even though the city is a howling ghost town compared to pre WOW, I have managed to win 12 votes. I imagine that's the entirety of the active population of my metropolis that has over 100 citizens... very sad...

Elections don't take place at the same time across the server. It varies from city to city. Go to your City Management Terminal in City Hall and check the status. You'll get a system message telling you when the next city update is.

As Lucious said, the election takes place every third cycle. You can't find out what week you are in from the terminal, but if you know when the last election ended you just have to add three weeks to that.

voting cycles end at every 3rd elections. if you've had 3 elections (not 3 rl weeks) since the last voting cycle, then you should put in a CSR ticket.
