Thread: Player city caps, any change on the horizon?

I am the mayor of De originalis Valhala on tatooine (tempest). My city advanced through the ranks up to level 3 well ahead of city advancement. However when it came time for our lvl 4 advancement, the most important to a city for the shuttle port, we were notified that that were too many lvl 4-5 cities on the planet. We did not qualify for advancement due to this...even though we have over 70 citizens and the closest starport is 5000m away.

My city did an investigation of the planet and found that there were only 9 cities on tatooine with a shuttleport, the cap is 10. We sent a csr ticket but they were unable to help. Through all of the hard work we have put into the city i have lost motivation to recruit as our borders are full. The city has worked so haed to get here and now we will have to fight to keep the city together.

Is there any conversation going on that will increase the player city caps? Anything we will see live any time soon? It seems to me with a game that supports such a large player base would limit a popular planet with 10 large cities, while at the same time in less popular planets doubling the cap to 20. Will we see change on this, or is this yet another issue politicians will have to suck up?

Thanks

I agree with this. I have the same problem on Naboo. We have advanced to be a city with around 70 citizens, we did it fast and we have worked really hard to get there. We are atrank 3 as a city and can't get torank 4 due to thelimit of 10 rank 4 cities on each planet. I really hope this will change becaue you kind of loose your interest in working hard sinceyou can't expand unless you are able to get to the next lvl.

We have a unique theme in our city, to make it special, and we are pretty active as well. With no shuttleport alot of things gets harder and rougher for us. And businessis notas good at all, as ifit would be with a shuttleport. Plus, with this limit, I think that the people who were here starting cities in the start of the game, well....they have all the advantages, others stand no chance in getting further unless they loose citizens, and I thinkit's a shame.

I look forward to see some changes...

A question, is there a que to get to rank 4? We have been at rank 3 qualifing forrank 4 for a long time. If cities drop from rank 4 to rank 3 is there a certain system so some doesn't have to wait forever to get to rank 4, and some get it at once? Or is it random?

Keep in mind that just because the core planets (Tatooine, Corellia, Naboo) may be capped for Rank 4+ cities on your sever that it is very likely that one of the secondary planets (Lok, Dantooine, Rori, Talus) is not. So the possibility of creating a larger city exists on your sever, even if it's not on every planet.

The caps are there to keep everyone and their brother, niece and uncle from creating Player Cities across the face of the planets. It is not necessary to have a shuttleport every 1000m or so, particularly with the variety of fast transportation available.

I have been here since day 2, but only started a city a few months ago. I chose to build it on Lok because of the caps on the other planets and there was no waiting.

especially with the new dumb house decay system

in the past the capped lvl 3 citizes could hope the other lvl 4 scatter

but that s not possible anymore

there are several cities on our planet that are dead

but thanx to the new system the citizes don t loose any citizens anymore

either raise the cap or make regular purges where we can get rid of ghosttowns

and btw

what happened to green marines promised city update?

guess that died with the hope of a balanced combat system
