Thread: When a toon can't pay property taxes?

Does anyone know what happens when a toon can't pay property taxes (i.e. they have 0 cash and 0 in the bank)? Does it come out of their house or factory maintenance?

well, property tax comes out of the structure as part of the maintenance cost of the building, so I'm going to assume you're talking about income tax. when someone can't afford to pay income tax, they... well, can't afford to pay it. the city doesn't get the money. the mayor should get an email saying that citizen hasn't paid up.

Heh, have you ever gotten this email?
I never have. 
And I think there was a thread here awhile ago asking this, and nobody has ever seen this "So-and-so could not afford their income tax!" email. Would be nice, would make tracking the budget a tiny bit easier.

I've never had income tax since I know how it can be buggy
