Thread: Milita Grant Self Zoning Rights
Why can't militia members grant themselves zoning rights, or have perma-zoning rights. It's silly to be able to give strangers zoning rights, but if you want to lay down a minefield, you need to find another militia member.

Yeah, I thought this was pretty silly too, as did our mayor. Devs, please fix this.
Another interesting tidbit I found out the hard way is if you pick up your house to move it and it is your declared residence within the city, you are immediately kicked out of the militia and need to have the mayor add you to the militia roster again after you re-place your house.
I also found this quite odd.
While in a real-world checks and balances way it makes sense, in terms of gameplay it doesn't.
Milita definately need to at least have the mayor toggle perma-zoning rights. I mean, what do the milita have left?

Its a balance. Do you really want someone to be able to just put stuff down whenever they want. What if the member gets disgruntled.
Checks and Balances. Works good.
trazix.. well if you can grant them.. what prevents a disgruntle person to get a couple of his/her buddies and grant them and place stuff anyways and /transferstructure back to him/her?

Pinka said about the "Checks and Balances" too.
The mayor grants the militia right because the mayor trust them. (That's a "Checks and Balances" already.)
OK. Now, what if the member gets disgruntled or what if the member gets mad because the mayor refused to marry him/her or what if I stole the member's account.
The memberor I can still grant unlimited zoning rights to anyone to build/mess anything with the city. (Where is the "Checks and Balances" now?)
No offend to anyone. I offend the design of this granting system only.
Hiddine.. I am thinking the same thing.. there is no check and balance.....
The only person who can remove them is the mayor.. what if the mayor goes on vacation (like everyone else) or have real life emergency... a disgruntle militia can wreak havoc before the mayor can remove the militia member.
please make "/grantzoningrights self" work!
